Charley M. Drummond is an attorney at the Birmingham insurance defense firm of FISH NELSON & HOLDEN, LLC. Mr. Drummond focuses his practice primarily on legal matters involving workers’ compensation, employers’ liability, OSHA regulation, and other employer-related health and safety issues. Charley was born and raised in Jasper, Alabama and received his B.S. Degree in Business Management from the University of Alabama in 1998. He earned his J.D. Degree from Birmingham School of Law, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2009. Prior to joining FISH NELSON & HOLDEN, Charley was the managing partner of a small civil litigation firm where he tried a variety of cases before both state and federal courts. He is an active member in good standing of the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Organization (AWCO), the Alabama Workers’ Compensation Defense Lawyers Association, the Alabama Defense Lawyers’ Association, the Alabama Self-Insurers Association, and Montgomery Claims Association. Mr. Drummond currently serves as a Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation and Employer’s Liability Law Committee, and as President of the Birmingham Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section. Charley is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars for other attorneys, judges, insurance adjusters, and employer representatives, and is a former adjunct professor of workers’ compensation law at Birmingham School of Law. He is also active in fundraising and community-awareness activities for Muscular Dystrophy Association of Alabama, and renders pro-bono legal assistance to families of children affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Outside of work, Charley enjoys playing tennis and spending time with his son, William.
